Q1.
Dust is leaking out while I clean. What is wrong?
Check the dust bag. There may be a hole or a tear in it or it may not be installed properly. If there is a hole or tear, replace the bag. If the bag has slipped off its connection, install it. (See page 15 of the manual.)
Q2.
My vacuum cleaner won't operate, what is wrong?
Follow this checklist: - Make sure the cleaner is plugged in. - Make sure the outlet has power supplied to it. (Some outlets are controlled by a wall switch. It could be a blown fuse in the circuit breaker.) - Be sure the cleaner hasn't stopped because of the thermal protector.
Q3.
My vacuum is not picking up dust that good. Why?
My cleaner doesn't pick up dust and dirt as well as it should. What is the matter? Answer: Be sure to check the following first: - Check to see if the dust bag is full. - Make sure the hose is not obstructed. - Check the micron or HEPA filter. - Be sure the suction control (on the grip handle) is adjusted properly.
Q4.
My vacuum just stopped working. Why?
Although this happens rarely, the thermal protector may have caused the cleaner to stop because the motor has become too hot. Just turn the cleaner off and unplug it. It will eventually cool down and when restarted, will work fine again. We recommend unplugging it so it won't start by itself when it has sufficiently cooled down.
Q5.
BAG CHECK is on, but I just changed the bag.
The BAG CHECK INDICATOR is on, although I just emptied or changed the dust bag. What do I do now? Answer: Check the hose for an obstruction. You may have vacuumed something in that caused an accumulation of dirt to form in the hose. (See page 12 of the manual.)
